The Opportunity
GagaMuller is providing Schedule Management Consultancy services on a major data centre development project in Kouvola, Finland. Acting on behalf of the Data Centre Developer, GagaMuller’s role is to oversee the schedule development and management activities undertaken by the General Contractor(s) responsible for the construction delivery of the project.
The Schedule Manager will support the management, coordination, and reporting of project schedules across all phases of the project lifecycle. Working closely with the client, contractors, consultants, and project delivery teams, you will help ensure the project programme is maintained, monitored, and updated in line with project milestones and delivery objectives.
This role will involve supporting programme governance, schedule reporting, progress monitoring, and coordination activities to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
1. Scope & Delivery Management
- Assist in the review and management of project schedules prepared by the General Contractor and key subcontractors.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Review programme logic, sequencing, durations, and milestone alignment across project activities.
- Monitor schedule updates and ensure progress is accurately reflected within the programme.
- Coordinate schedule inputs from design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover teams.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
- Track project progress against approved baseline schedules and key milestones.
- Support identification of critical path activities, schedule risks, and potential delays.
- Assist with recovery planning and mitigation strategies where programme deviations occur.
- Review contractor progress updates and support schedule analysis activities.
- Maintain schedule, reporting tools, and dashboards for project stakeholders.
3. Risk & Compliance Management
- Support tracking of commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.
- Monitor turnover and handover milestone readiness.
- Assist with programme close-out activities and final schedule reporting.
- Support schedule risk identification and mitigation planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and schedule governance standards.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports and progress updates.
- Support the development of executive dashboards and programme performance summaries.
- Maintain programme records, change logs, and schedule documentation.
- Assist with reporting schedule variances, trends, and forecast completion dates.
- Support the preparation of project presentations and stakeholder reporting materials.
5. Collaboration & Integration
- Work collaboratively with project controls, construction, commissioning, and commercial teams.
- Support the integration of contractor and vendor schedules into the overall project programme.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, and schedule review sessions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning and scheduling processes.
