How You'll Contribute :
  • Develop an initial project schedule based on the project brief and high-level milestones provided by the client.
  • Create a schedule management plan that outlines the scheduling approach, tools, responsibilities, and reporting procedures.
  • Organize a meeting to introduce the project team to the schedule management plan and set expectations.
  • Develop a detailed project schedule based on refined project goals, objectives, and identified project phases with standardised WBS codes
  • Define key project milestones and deliverables to monitor progress and track critical points in the project.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to different project tasks based on their availability and requirements.
  • Identify task dependencies to ensure the project flows smoothly and tasks are scheduled logically.
  • Develop a concept design schedule that outlines design phases, reviews, and approvals in alignment with the overall project schedule.
  • Schedule coordination meetings among the design team to ensure timely integration of design disciplines.
  • Identify specific milestones for design reviews and client approvals to keep the project on track.
  • Revise the project schedule to reflect the more detailed tasks and activities of the developed design phase.
  • Continuously update the schedule to reflect design coordination progress and any adjustments needed.
  • Establish deadlines for the completion of design documents and specifications.
  • Refine the project schedule to accommodate the technical design phase, including detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Integrate the BIM coordination schedule with the overall project schedule to ensure proper integration.
  • Plan procurement activities and delivery schedules for materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Develop a construction schedule that outlines the sequence of work, milestones, and critical paths for construction activities.
  • Regularly monitor construction progress against the schedule, identifying any delays or deviations.
  • Update the schedule to account for any changes in scope, design, or other project elements.
  • Utilising earned value management techniques to measure project performance and forecast project completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules to ensure seamless integration with the overall construction timeline.
  • Develop a handover schedule that aligns with the completion of construction and the start of operations.
  • Schedule commissioning and testing activities to ensure proper functioning of building systems.
  • Set deadlines for the submission of as-built drawings, manuals, and other handover documents.
  • Coordinate the closeout process, including inspections, punch lists, and final approvals.
  • Establish a schedule for post-occupancy evaluations to assess the performance of the building in use.
  • Develop a schedule for ongoing maintenance and facilities management activities.
  • Plan for future retrofit or renovation projects by scheduling design and construction activities.
  • Review the scheduling processes and outcomes to identify lessons learned for future projects.
