This candidate will be responsible for building a clean and effective user experience for our customers. By working cross-functionally, this candidate will understand needs from the product management, engineering, and business stakeholders and will be able to build solutions that fit those needs.

Your responsibilities

Take pride in what you do with us

Evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and software engineers 

Design and develop graphic user interface elements, such as layout menus, tabs, buttons, input boxes and other widgets/components 

Create innovative user experience designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables) 

Provide the engineering team with the templates that can be easily plugged into the existing technologies 

Convey design ideas and project plans using storyboards and process flows 

Create conceptual diagrams and visual mock-ups to clearly illustrate how responsive websites and mobile apps function and appear 

Prepare and present conceptual designs to internal teams and key stakeholders 

Help develop, maintain and adhere to style guides and web standards

Create intuitive interfaces that optimise user interaction and experience 

Design and implement web/mobile UIs and applications from concept through to deployment 

Requirements

Proven track record working with new innovative ideas and technologies to deliver effective user experience with Web and Mobile applications 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field

Proven work experience as a Front-end Developer or similar role

Up-to-date knowledge of design software like XD, Zeplin, Figma, Photoshop or similar

Ability to effectively multitask

Strong knowledge of general web standards and best practices, as well as a drive to improve internal standards and practices 

Strong knowledge of web application architecture

Experience developing in MVC JavaScript stack including HTML5, CSS3, JS 

Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SCSS, SASS, or LESS 

Experience with the likes of Bootstrap 4, flexbox and other UI libraries 

Team spirit and time-management skills 

Comfortable in a fast-moving, collaborative environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Possess a wide degree of creativity and flexibility 

Use of revision control (git, svn, etc.) using branches, pull requests, etc. preferred
