Commissioning

Commissioning is the final test to conclude the building process. If all the steps have been followed to a high standard to this point there should be no surprises... Throughout the comissioning process it is important that all the final checks are managed that the data is captured to enable a smooth Hand Over for the facilities to be managed.
What is it?
Commissioning refers to the process of bringing an item into operation and ensuring that it is in good working order. This is achieved by setting each system to work, regulating that system by testing and adjusting repetitively, calibrating the system and finally recording the system settings and the performance test results that have been accepted as satisfactory.
How do we digitalise it?
The commissioning of a project is vital. During construction, the programme can be impacted by delays but this doesn't necessarily mean that the completion date gets pushed out. More often than not, the completion date is set in stone and therefore the 'Commissoning' period is condensed into a shorter timeframe. Digitalising the commisioning processes for a project is vital to ensuring that the most optimum schedule for delivery is planned and achieved. Utilising Barcodes and QR Codes allows the Commissioning team to view and add data relating to particular systems thereby marking the progress of the system as it proceeds from one commissing level to the next.
